Toronto Machine Learning Summit

We attended the Toronto Machine Learning ‘Micro-Summit’ Series ( TMLS) recently in the GTA.

Megan Anderson, Director at Integrate AI presented Realizing the Business Impact of Machine Learning in your Enterprise and covered important aspects of machine learning from a business perspective, including choosing the right attributes, algorithms as well as the critical trade- off between prediction accuracy and model development times. A very insightful viewpoint from a key business leader.

Jamie Ross and Poorya Ferdowsi, Data Scientists at Bristol Gate Capital did a fine job of jointly presenting Auto ML in Financial Asset Management a detailed view of the model development and training process involved with market indicators for use with portfolio management. Good to see these models being relied upon in real business use cases.
