Image Scanning for Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR) is now available. Amazon ECR is a fully managed container registry that efficiently stores, manages, and deploys container images for developers. Where as Image Scanning, is an automated vulnerability assessment feature in ECR that improves the security of your application’s container images by scanning them for extensive amount of operating system vulnerabilities.
