The Release of Azure Proximity Placement Groups

The Azure proximity placement groups is now available for preview. The proximity placement groups allows you to co-locate your Azure resources for improved application performance, and to reduce the network latency among virtual machines for your applications. They also provide a grouping capability for your Azure Virtual Machines. Proximity placement groups are ideal to use for multi-tiered, and IaasS-based deployments because application tiers are deployed using multiple virtual machines, availability sets and/or virtual machine scale sets.
