Qualys Research Labs discovered a local privilege escalation vulnerability in OpenBSD’s dynamic loader in December 2019. They found vulnerabilities in OpenBSD 6.5 and OpenBSD 6.6 versions. In their analysis, they discovered that the vulnerability could allow local users or malicious software to gain full root privileges, and is exploitable during the default installation process.
